UPHOLSTERY AND SOFT FURNISHINGS

Classic furniture is so often discarded when the covers wear out, the springs fall out of the bottom and the padding becomes uncomfortable; but we are able to strip it back to the frame, and rebuild it completely to it's former glory.
Your favorite piece, a chair that has been passed down through your family, can be fully restored.
We can carry out repairs to the woodwork. Which can then be stained, painted or French Polished, and new feet or castors can be fitted.
Features such as deep buttoning (see image below), are available.
We are able to make all the soft furnishings and can therefore
co-ordinate your entire room, with new Cushions, Curtains, Roman Blinds, Swags and Tails, Coronets, Hangings; in fact anything that can be made from fabric.
We have also undertaken bespoke design projects on caravans and boats; and are able to work with a variety of materials including leather.
Our upholsterer Julie Rapley has over twenty years experience in upholstery, soft furnishings, design and dressmaking.
She has a number of qualifications in the industry including a City & Guilds in Upholstery and Design, an OCN in Advanced Upholstery.
She is also qualified to teach upholstery and holds a 7407 Teaching Qualification.
